Design Specification: Strand 1
General:
Generally, my project will be online lessons that can help students and support them in their education and to help them in certain topics in certain subjects. There are many details to it and here are some general details of the solution.
Cost: Free
Materials: I will be using a sifter called scratch which is available online and is done through programming skills, I will be using all the options and materials that ware available for me on the online software
Time period: It will be done in around 3-4 weeks
Size: The size of the solution can be decided as each person that opens it on their computer and does it on fullscreen will have it the same size as the screen of their computer, around 12-16 inches
Resolution (average): For the resolution to will also be according to the device used but, most computers and laptops have a resolution of 1024×768-1280×1024
Viewable pixels: For the viewable pixels it will also be according to what the solution is being used on and what the scratch is being played on.However, the average would be 0.79-1.31
Topic: For this solution, there will be multiple topics but they will all revolve around History, for this one I will be doing it about the first world war
Function:
For the function of the solution, it will work by that it will be shared on a website or a blog and will be embedded there. Then the website will have certain keywords so that whenever a person searches history or the topic of the scratch the website will come up for them and then once they open the website they will find the scratch and by pressing on the green flag or the red stop sign the scratch will start and so will the lesson.
There will be icons that will work as buttons to control when to start and to stop to pause the lesson presented in the scratch
There will be a key on the website t tell the person what to press for the different functions like, when to show pictures, went pause the lesson, when to move to the next point, and when to end or start the lesson
It will only work for ages of 11-13 so it will only be to that difficulty so it will not work with people that are younger.
Aesthetics:
For the looks of the solution, it shows look like a lesson however, it should still look appealing to the person and shouldn't feel very boring for them.I will be trying to add different backdrops and colors to make it look appealing to them to make it entertaining.
I will be putting bright and calming colors os that to could be attracting but also calming so that it helps the audience learn easily and calmly
I will also use backdrops that will help it to be a lesson yet also make it entertaining for them so they don't find it boring.
Here I will also be changing the backdrops every now and then so it also doesn't become unattractive and so that it could make the audience focused on the scratch.
Lastly, I will also be adding images to represent the topic so that the audience can learn not only through text but also through images.
Safety:
There are many different points that might affect the safety of this solution in terms technologically and mainly electronically. One of the main point son safety would be that the scratch should not cause any lagging to the device or even trigger a virus to the device the scratch is being used on.Here are two more points on its safety.
The main one would also be that it should be appropriate to the audience and should be right for the age group that is using it
Another main point would also be that it shouldn't cause any electronically issues to the device that is playing the scratch.
Quality:
For this solution, I am expecting for it to have good quality and for it to not only be aesthetically pleasing but also that it shall be of good education quality that could actually help the audience benefit something from it or even learn something from it.There are many things that I think of for the quality of the solution.
A first main point would be that I want the scratch to be attractive and for it to be colorful and also eye-catching to the audience
A second main point is that I want the scratch to have good information to be understandable for the person watching it
A third main point would be that I want the scratch to be easy to use and control but also easy to understand and learn from
Environmental:
For this solution, it 'll be a scratch that will be inline. It will only need a device for its work and will be on a software and will not require any materials such as wood, paper due to how it is going be created on a software. This project will not affect the environment negatively.Instead, it will actually be a positive impact on the society but mainly the environment itself. Here are some points to show this.
The project will not be hardware and will only require materials that are available on the online software for it to be created which will not involve any materials that are cut off from the environment
This project will affect the environment positively due to how it is an electronic project that only requires online materials.
Lastly, the final point is that it is online many people will use it and unlike many other school and projects, they will be able to learn without the use of paper in books.

For my first design I out that I will make a part of the lesson in a classroom backdrop but will still have images to represent what I want to teach to the audience I am addressing. For the first design, I will not have as many images as the second design and I will do most of the teaching in the classroom backdrop, I will be using the text box to put the writing on the board that is found in the setting of the classroom backdrop.I will also have images and flags but I will have a very minimal amount available on the scratch which I think is quite a disadvantage in the scratch. For my second design it only includes the classroom for saying the topic and the subject but for the rest of the teaching, I will be using things like flags and maps but also diagrams and images to help me teach the audience easily about the topic of the war. Most of the pictures will be showing causes, weapons countries and the places of war. With pictures I think that the audience will find it more entertaining to learn from which would be a big advantage for them to benefit and learn easily from the scratch.I will also have a sprite speaking as a narrator through the whole scratch and talking about the images and giving information about the images.
For my final chosen design I will be using my second design as my final design for this task. My second design is the one that mainly has images and that I will have a sprite talking about the images so that it would be interesting to the audience more than having the hole scratch being in a classroom backdrop as the purpose of this scratch is to help students that find leaning a subject hard or being bored from it to be able to learn more and in an easier manner than they do on regular basis in school. For that, the main reason I chose my second design is that the classroom backdrop is used minimally through the scratch helping the audience feel like they are not learning in the regular way of being in a classroom but are learning in a more interesting and easier way with images maps and setting images helping them to find the subject not only easier to learn about but more importantly are finding it more fun than they use to find it when learning regularly in school. The second main reason that I have decided to use the second design as my final is that it will have more color and will be more pleasing to the eye but also in tiers of sound as in the second design I will have more images giving me a chance to put sound as if I out a classroom backdrop and put sound the audience will not feel as comfortable and as interested in the scratch. Also when using image sit will be more colorful and pleasing to the eye than watching written text on a board in a classroom which what they see on a regular basis when in school and is not as pleasing as images due to how they are not vibrant colors and will be colors that would not be attractive in any way.
To conclude I will be using my second design as my final chosen design as I find it better in terms of how it is more pleasing to the eye in terms of aesthetics sue to how I would be using the classroom backdrop mainly in the first design which would not be attractive to the audience accusing to not be interested in it and what to see it.Another thing is that usually the age group that I am addressing actually find learning boring and not interesting use t the environment they are learning with but also if the environment is not attractive to them that may cause them to feel less interested and not able to concentrate which would ruin the purpose of the scratch which is to help students that feel bored learning a certain subject or topic or even finding it difficult to learn about it.
Strand 4:
| Materials | Explanation |
| Backdrops | I will be using around 4 -6 backdrops for the scratch, one of my backdrops would be the class where I will introduce the scratch, the rest of my backdrops would be the pictures that I will use to teach the lesson. |
| Sound | For sound I will be using calming music to help them concentrate and be able to learn, I will be researching music that would help them learn easily. |
| Sprites | For the sprites I will be using an estimate of one sprite throughout the whole scratch as I will need one to be the narrator through the choler scratch and he will be the one talking. |
| scripts | For the scripts I will be doing them according to my desire of how I want my sprite to move but also how to control my backdrops and when they should come and at what direction my sprite should stand. |
